Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para preparar un derivado de prostaglandina, de fórmula (VER FIGURA) caracterizada porque comprende saponificar un éster de fórmula general: (VER FIGURA) en la que R1 representa un grupo alquilo lineal o ramificado que contiene de 1 a 7 átomos de carbono, en un medio alcohólico, con un álcali, e hidrolizar la sal de metal alcalino resultante del compuesto de fórmula II con ácido fuerte, para formar el derivado de prostaglandina deseado.The present invention relates to a process for preparing a prostaglandin derivative of the formula (SEE FIGURE) characterized in that it comprises saponifying an ester of the general formula: (SEE FIGURE) in which R1 represents a linear or branched alkyl group containing 1 to 7 carbon atoms, in an alcoholic medium, with an alkali, and hydrolyze the resulting alkali metal salt of the compound of formula II with strong acid, to form the desired prostaglandin derivative.
