Abstract

La presente invención está relacionada con un motor de inducción monofásico de polos sombreados, convertible a motor de imán permanente, del tipo que comprende una carcasa frontal, un elemento de estator, un elemento de rotor, una pluralidad de devanados colocados sobre los polos salientes del elemento de estator y una carcasa posterior, en donde el elemento de estator presenta una configuración cuadrada con los cuatro polos salientes girados 45° con respecto a los ejes de simetría horizontal y vertical a manera de quedar alineados con las cuatro esquinas del elemento estator; la configuración nueva del estator permite optimizar el uso del material de laminación durante la fabricación y ensamble de los paquetes de láminas del elemento de estator y del elemento de rotor; además, al estar girados 45° los polos salientes en el elemento de estator, se logra una reducción en las pérdidas eléctricas en sus devanados y una disminución en la temperatura de operación, tanto del elemento de estator como del elemento de rotor, lo que permite un incremento en la eficiencia de operación del motor; asimismo, la reducción en la temperatura de operación del elemento de estator, hace posible el empleo de materiales plásticos para sus componentes.
