Abstract

Un método y aparato para inyectar un gas en un líquido en el cual un impulsor helicoidal (30) giratorio dentro de un tubo de aspiración (20) sumergido en el líquido crea un flujo de líquido dentro del tubo de aspiración. Se inyectan burbujas de gas al tubo de aspiración ya sea arriba o abajo o al lado del impulsor helicoidal o en las tres ubicaciones. El líquido es arrastrado al tubo de aspiración con una velocidad superficial mayor que una velocidad ascendente final sustancialmente uniforme de las burbujas de gas para permitir el arrastre de las burbujas de gas sin disolver en el grueso de líquido en el líquido que se arrastra al tubo de aspiración. Las burbujas de gas se inyectan con un diámetro uniforme de entre aproximadamente 10.0 micrones y aproximadamente 1.0 milímetros. El tamaño pequeño de burbuja aumenta la disolución del gas en el líquido y permite también el arrastre del gas al líquido que se arrastra al tubo de aspiración.
