Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un sistema de trasporte de carretillas articuladas mecánicamente dirigidas para transportar grandes estructuras, como un mástil de perforación, por el sistema federal de carreteras; en general la invención se refiere a un sistema de carretillas articuladas que utiliza un sistema mecánico único para dirigir una primera carretilla con una trayectoria generada por el movimiento de la carga soportada por la segunda carretilla; más particularmente la invención proporciona una carretilla frontal dirigida por un bastidor de dirección frontal no giratorio, una carretilla posterior que tiene una plataforma giratoria montada pivotalmente y un par de articulaciones de dirección conectadas entre los respectivos lados del bastidor de dirección frontal y la plataforma giratoria; la articulación de dirección izquierda y la articulación de dirección derecha se localizan en un primer plano; uno o ambos de la plataforma giratoria y el bastidor de dirección se localizan en un segundo plano que no es el primer plano; los momentos de fuerza generados entre el plano uno y el plano dos deforman elásticamente a uno o a ambos del bastidor de dirección y la plataforma giratoria para permitir que el sistema de transporte dé vuelta a la izquierda o que dé vuelta a la derecha.
