Abstract
Un método para renovar un reformador secundario (1), el reformador comprende una tubería de elevación de gas interna (8) para enrutar un gas de proceso desde la entrada inferior de gas hacia una cámara de combustión (5) ubicada sobre una zona catalítica (6), los medios de distribución (9) para introducir un agente de oxidación como aire de proceso dentro de dicha cámara de combustión, en donde los medios de distribución originales del agente de oxidación se encuentran discontinuados, la tubería de elevación de gas es más corta (8') y el extremo de la salida de la tubería de elevación de gas más corta se encuentra dispuesto para entregar un flujo de gas dirigido de forma ascendente; un quemador nuevo (20) se instala en la parte superior del reactor, dicho quemador nuevo estando dispuesto para entregar un agente de oxidación como aire de proceso con un flujo descendente, de este modo obteniendo una zona de mezclado en contracorriente (23) y la formación de una llama de difusión sobre el extremo de la salida de la tubería de elevación de gas.
