Abstract

La presente invención provee nuevos métodos de diagnóstico temprano del carcinoma hepatocelular (CHC) mediante la detección de los productos génicos (ARNm o proteína) de la prostaglandina reductasa 1 (Ptgr1) en muestras biológicas y nuevos métodos para determinar si un paciente con CHC es candidato para ser tratado con compuestos antitumorales que sean bioactivados por la Ptgr1.
