Abstract

La presente invención permite que se reduzca un error de tiempo de recorrido de RMS en una adquisición de datos sísmicos. Se recolectan primero las mediciones de campo de las coordenadas de fuente y receptor, velocidad del sonido en el agua como una función de la profundidad y el tiempo, sincronización del receptor y desfase del reloj. Se examinan entonces los datos sísmicos para medir el tiempo de recorrido de cada fuente hacia cada receptor. Puede entonces calcularse un tiempo de recorrido modelo en base a las mediciones de campo. Al perturbar de manera iterativa al menos uno de los datos medidos en campo usando una tabla de búsqueda y calcular el tiempo de recorrido después de cada perturbación hasta que se ha logrado un error aceptable de RMS, los datos sísmicos condicionados que toman en cuenta la naturaleza dinámica de la columna de agua proporcionarán la base para crear un mapa sísmico exacto que no se afecte por las condiciones cambiantes del agua.
