Abstract
Esta invención se refiere a un nuevo fotobiorreactor que comprende láminas de plástico cubiertas y selladas revestidas con una capa delgada de cultivo altamente densa de organismos fotoatótrofos unicelulares. El dióxido de carbono se intercambia desde un espacio de gas por encima del cultivo a través de la mezcla asistida por el movimiento subyacente de las olas. La invención proporciona una mejora sustancial en los costos de procesamiento en el crecimiento en medios esterilizados, así como la reducción de gastos relacionados con la energía y las materias primas, especialmente el dióxido de carbono. Los gastos del capital se reducen al eliminar la necesidad de burbujeo y compresores para la suspensión de células y mezcla de dióxido de carbono.
