Abstract
La presente invencion concierne a la utilizacion de catalizadores para el tratamiento de los gases de escape de los motores de combustion interna con contenido alto de oxígeno. Estos catalizadores pueden ser del tipo que incluye un oxido másico de estructura espinela y de formula ZnA12O4 o que incluye unoxido de estructura espinela normal o espinela inversa con excepcion de ZnA12O4. Pueden obtenerse en particular por desagregacion de precursores de los elementos constitutivos de la espinela o a partir de una solucion o suspension de sales de los elementos constitutivos de la espinela; luego se procede al secado y a la calcinacion del medio así obtenido. También se pueden obtener mediante la combustion de una mezcla de los precursores de los elementos constitutivos de la espinela y de una fuente de carbono y de nitrogeno.
