Abstract

Se proporciona ahora una espuma de célula cerrada rígida a base de composiciones de poliol estables al almacenamiento y poliisocianato, que se produce haciendo reaccionar un isocianato orgánico con composiciones de poliol en presencia de un agente hinchador, en donde la composicion de poliol contiene por lo menos: a) un poliol de poliéter de polioxialquileno iniciado con amina aromática que tiene un numero de hidroxilo de 200 miliequivalentes de poliol por gramo de KOH o más; b) un poliol de poliéter de polioxialquileno iniciado con amina alifática que tiene un numero de hidroxilo de 200 miliequivalentes de poliol por gramo de KOH o más; y el agente hinchador es por lo menos ciclopentano en una cantidad de 7 por ciento en peso o más, basada en el peso de la composicion de poliol; y además, el agente hinchador de ciclopentano es soluble en la composicion de poliol, y la cantidad del poliol de poliéter de polioxialquileno iniciado con amina alifática es 10 por ciento en peso o menor, basada en el peso de la composicion de poliol. La composicion de poliol está adaptada para solubilizar el ciclopentano en la composicion de poliol sin sacrificar, y mejorando ventajosamente, el aislamiento térmico y la estabilidad dimensional de la espuma de poliuretano resultante. Fue sorprendente descubrir que menos del 10 por ciento en peso de poliol iniciado con amina alifática era necesario para lograr estos objetos y fue además sorprendente descubrir que el poliol de poliéter iniciado con amina aromática mejoro el aislamiento térmico de la espuma.
