Abstract

A DUCT SEAL COMPRISES FIRST AND SECOND END PLATES (1A AND 3), A HOLLOW CYLINDRICAL SEALING MEMBER (2) EXTENDING BETWEEN THE END PLATES, AND MEANS FOR VARYING THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE END PLATES. THE FIRST END PLATE (1A) IS PROVIDED WITH AN AXIALLY-EXTENDING SHAFT (1B) WHICH PASSES THROUGH THE SEALING MEMBER (2) AND THROUGH AN APERTURE (3C) IN THE SECOND END PLATE (3).AN ADJUSTMENT DEVICE (4) IS ENGAGEABLE WITH THE FREE END OF THE SHAFT (1B), THEREBY CONSTITUTING THE MEANS FOR VARYING THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE END PLATES.(FIG. 1)
