Abstract

A PROCESS FOR PREPARING A TRANSFER GRAPHIC ARTICLE COMPRISING A GRAPHIC PATTERN HAVING A PROTECTIVE CLEAR COAT IN PRECISE REGISTRATION THEREWITH SUCH THAT THE GRAPHIC HAS ROUNDED, TAPERED EDGES, AND THE ARTICLE PRODUCED THEREBY, ARE PROVIDED. IN A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT, THE EDGES OF AND UNDERLYING ADHESIVE, BY WHICH THE GRAPHIC ARTICLE MAY BE ADHERED TO A DESIRED SUBSTRATE, ARE SEALED BY THE CLEAR COAT SUCH THAT IMPROVED SOLVENT RESISTANCE IS ACHIEVED.
