ALKYLGLYCOSIDES CONTAINING UP TO 24 CARBON ATOMS IN THE ALKYL CHAIN ARE USED AS WETTING AGENT IN AQUEOUS WETTING AGENT SOLUTIONS FOR THE SEPARATION OF FATTY ACID ESTER MIXTURES INTO SOLID AND LIQUID COMPONENTS BY THE HYDROPHILIZATION PROCESS. THE ALKYLGLYCOSIDES HAVE THE ADVANTAGE OF BEING NON-TOXIC AND BIODAGRADABLE.
