Abstract
A GRANULAR FERTILIZER IS PREPARED BY COATING PARTICLES OF A BASE FERTILIZER SELECTED FROM ORTHOPHOSPHATES OF CALCIUM, AMONIUM AND POTASSIUM AND MIXTURES THEREOF, WITH: (A) A FIRST LAYER COMPRISING 1 TO 5(BY WEIGHT OF THE TOTAL COMPOSITION) OR WATER OR AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF A SALT SELECTED FROM THE GROUP OF SULPHATES AND PHOSPHATES OF AMMONIUM OR POTASSIUM AND MIXTURES THEREOF; AND (B) A SECOND LAYER COMPRISING (i) ELEMENTAL SULPHUR AND/OR (ii) A SUPPLEMENTAL MICRONUTRIENT AND IF THE FIRST LAYER CONSISTS OF WATER ONLY (iii) 0.1 TO 10(BY WEIGHT OF THE TOTAL COMPOSITION) OF A SALT SELECTED FROM THE GROUP CONSISTING OF WATER- SOLUBLE SULPHATES AND PHOSPHATES OF AMMONIUM OR POTASSIUM, SULPHATES OF METALLIC TRACE ELEMENTS, AND MIXTURES THEREOF.
