THERE IS DISCLOSED AN IMPROVED DRAIN COVER WHICH COMPRISES OF A FLEXIBLE AND ELONGATED HANDLE (13), A SEALING COVER (5) AND A SQUARE PLANE BASE (1). THE SQUARE PLANE BASE (1) FITS INTO A DRAIN OPENING. IT ENGAGES AND SUPPORTS THE SEALING COVER (5). THE COVER (5) CARRIES AT ITS UNDERSIDE A LOCKING DEVICE INSTALLED IN ITS CYLINDRICAL TUBE (6) AND A SLIDABLE BOLT (7) THEREIN. THE LOCKING DEVICE LOCKS THE COVER (5) IN ITS OPEN OR CLOSED POSITION. A MEANS TO ACTIVATE THE LOCKING DEVICE IS THE FLEXIBLE AND ELONGATED HANDLE (13) WHICH IS CONNECTABLE TO THE COVER (5). (FIG. 3)
