Abstract
A COLOR CATHODE RAY TUBE LACKING AN INNER SHIELD IS DISCLOSED WHICH IS CHARACTERIZED IN THAT THE INNER SURFACE OF THE FUNNEL (12) IS COATED WITH A CONDUCTIVE LAYER (18B), THE CONDUCTIVE LAYER BEING MADE OF A HIGH PERMEABILITY METAL OR AN ALLOY OF HIGH PERMEABILITY METALS, OR BEING MADE OF A HIGH PERMEABILITY METAL OR AN ALLOY OF HIGH PERMEABILITY METALS AND A HIGH RESISTANCE MATERIAL. ACCORDING TO THE PRESENT INVENTION, THE INNER SHIELD IS TOTALLY REMOVED, AND THEREFORE, THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTS IS SIMPLIFIED AND THE MANUFACTURING COST IS SAVED. (FIG. 3)
