Abstract
A FILTER COATED RED PHOSPHOR IS DISCLOSED WHICH COMPRISES A MATRIX PHOSPHOR AND A FILTER MATERIAL COATED ON THE MATRIX PHOSPHOR, AND IS CHARACTERIZED IN THAT THE FILTER MATERIAL IS A MIXED COMPOUND COMPOSED OF IRON OXIDE MIXED WITH AT LEAST ONE OF MANGANESE OXIDE AND MAGNESIUM OXIDE. THE FILTER COATED RED PHOSPHOR ACCORDING TO THE PRESENT INVENTION IS SUPERIOR IN ITS HEAT RESISTANCE AND IN THE SPECTROSCOPIC REFLECTANCE. FURTHER, IT DOES NO HARM TO THE HUMAN BODY AND DOES NOT CAUSE ANY ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION, AS WELL AS HAVING A HIGH CONTRAST RATIO, THEREBY CONTRIBUTING TO IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF THE SCREEN.
