AN APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING THE POSITION OF SETTING A RECIPROCATING SLIDING MEMBER INCLUDES A CONNECTING ROD (4) ATTACHED PIVOTABLY TO ONE END OF A ROCKER ARM (2) DISPOSED TO BE CAPABLE OF SWINGING FREELY, FOR TRANSMITTING FORCE FROM A DRIVING SOURCE, AND A SLIDING MEMBER (6) ATTACHED PIVOTABLY TO THE OTHER END. A WORM WHEEL (23) IS FIXED TO AN AXIS (1) TO BE THE CENTER OF THE SWINGING OF THE ROCKER ARM (2) WITH THE CENTER OF ITS AXIS SHIFTED, AND A WORM GEAR (24) IS ENGAGED WITH THE WORM WHEEL (23). HAVING SUCH A STRUCTURE, THE FINE ADJUSTMENT OF THE POSITION OF SETTING THE RECIPROCATING MEMBER (6) CAN BE CONDUCTED RELATIVELY EASILY. WHEN THE ADJUSTING APPARATUS IS INCORPORATED IN A ROCKER ARM TYPE POWER PRESS, MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION OF DIES CAN BE CONDUCTED BY MOVING A MOVING PUNCH WITHOUT TAKING OUT THE DIES FROM THE MAIN BODY OF THE MACHINE, OR THE DELICATE ADJUSTMENT OF THE STROKE OF THE MOVING PUNCH OR THE AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT OF PRESSURIZING FORCE FOR PRESSING WORK CAN BE READILY CONDUCTED.
