Abstract

THE INVENTION RELATES TO AN ACCUMULATOR HEAD OF A BLOW MOULDING MACHINE FOR THE DISCONTINUOUS MANUFACTURE OF BLOWMOULDED THERMOPLASTICAL HOLLOW BODIES. TO IMPROVE THE PRODUCT QUALITY AND TO INCREASE THE PRODUCTION RATE IT IS PROPOSED, THAT THE DISTRIBUTION DEVICE IS BUILT IN THE FORM OF A SPIRAL-CHANNEL DISTRIBUTOR ENGENDERING A FAVOURABLE LAYER BUILT-UP WITH MULTIPLE OVERLAPS IN THE ACCUMULATOR HEAD. WHEREBY THE EJECTING CYLINDER CONSISTS OF AT LEAST TWO CYLINDRIAL HULLS, SO THAT THE PERIPHERALLY DISTRIBUTED OVERLAPPING PLASTIC LAYER CAN FLOW OUT WITHOUT SHEARING FORCES AND WITHOUT DISTURBING THE OVERLAPPING LAYER STRUCTURE.
