Abstract

A METHOD IS DESCRIBED FOR IMPROVING THE RADIO SUPPLY OF A TRAFFIC ROUTE STRUCTURE WHICH CONSISTS OF INDIVIDUAL TRAFFIC ROUTES INTERSECTING AT ANY ANGLE, BY A CELLULAR MOBILE RADIO SYSTEM WHICH INCLUDES A NUMBER OF NEIGHBOURING RADIO CELLS CONTACTING OR PARTIALLY OVERLAPPING EACH OTHER, WHEREIN IN THE MARGINAL REGION OF EACH CELL IS ARRANGED AT LEAST ONE FIXED TRANSMITTER STATION WITH AT LEAST ONE SECTOR AERIAL WHICH SWEEPS ACROSS AT LEAST A PORTION OF THIS CELL TO BE SUPPLIED, WITH RADIO FREQUENCIES OF ONE CHANNEL GROUP, WHEREIN AT LEAST ONE ADDITIONAL FIXED TRANSMITTER STATION IS ARRANGED IN THE TRANSITION REGION WITH A DIRECTLY NEIGHBOURING CELL AND AT THIS STATION THERE IS AT LEAST ONE SECTOR AERIAL WHICH SUPPLIES THIS CELL FOR RADIO PURPOSES WITH THE SAME CHANNEL GROUP AS THE FIXED TRANSMITTER OF THE CELL TO BE SUPPLIED ITSELF, TWO OR MORE FIXED TRANSMITTERS OF A CELL TRANSMIT SIMULTANEOUSLY AND THE CELLS IN A LINEAR TRAFFIC ROUTE STRUCTURE HAVE A STARSHAPED STRUCTURE WHICH IS COMPOSED OF MUTUALLY OVERLAPPING, ELLIPTICAL PARTIAL AREAS.
