THIS PATENT APPLICATION RELATES TO THE FIELD OF MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY AND MORE PARTICULARLY, TO THAT OF PHARMACOTECHNOLOGY. IT HAS MORE PARTICULARLY AS A SUBJECT MATTER NOVEL COMPOSITIONS ADAPTED TO THE LOCAL WAY AND MORE PRECISELY TO FORMULATIONS INTENDED TO BE INSERTED INTO THE SUBCUTANEOUS TISSUES AND COMMONLY SO-CALLED IMPLANTS. THESE IMPLANTS ARE OF VARIOUS NATURES (HYDROPHOBIC, HYDROPHILIC, BIODEGRADABLE) AND OF VARIOUS KINDS (CONTAINER, MATRIX). THESE IMPLANTS INCLUDE AN EFFICIENT AMOUNT OF A 3,20-DIOXO 6-METHYL 17(ALPHA)-ACETOXY 19-NOR PREGNA 4,6-DIEN DERIVATIVE OPTIONALLY SUBSTITUTED IN POSITION 3 AND/OR IN POSITION 17 (ALPHA) , IN ADMIXTURE OR CONJUNCTION WITH AN INERT BIOLOGICALLY -ACCEPTABLE CARRIER. THE THUS, PRODUCED IMPLANTS ARE EFFICIENT CONTRACEPTIVE AGENTS AND HAVING A DURATION OF ACTIVITY OF AT LEAST ONE YEAR WITH THE MINIMUM OF SIDE-EFFECTS.
