Abstract

THE INVENTION PROVIDES AN INDUSTRIAL OIL, E.G. FOR A CHAIN SAW CHAIN AND BAR LUBRICANT, A GEAR OIL OR HYDRAULIC FLUID, BASED ON VEGETABLE OIL RATHER THAN MINERAL OIL AND IN WHICH THE BASE FLUID IS A PALM OLEIN. THE INDUSTRIAL OIL COMPRISES PALM OLEIN AS BASE FLUID WITH AN ANTI-OXIDANT AND AN ANTI-WEAR ADDITIVE.
