Abstract
A COMPONENT MOUNTING APPARATUS WHICH CAN MOUNT COMPONENTS ON A SUBSTRATE WITH A GOOD PRECISION BY IMPROVING THE PLANARITY OF THE SUBSTRATE AT THE TIME OF MOUNTING THE COMPONENTS. THE APPARATUS HAS GUIDE RAILS WHICH GUIDE EDGES OF THE SUBSTRATES ON WHICH THE COMPONENTS ARE TO BE MOUNTED, A SUBSTRATE SUPPORT WHICH IS CONSTRUCTED TO BE MOVABLE RELATIVE TO THE GUIDE RAILS AND WHICH CAN PRESS AGAINST THE BACK SURFACE OF THE SUBSTRATES, AND A SUBSTRATE HOLDER DISPOSED AT THE FRONT SIDE OF THE SUBSTRATES TO BE MOVABLE TOWARD AND AWAY FROM THE FRONT SURFACE OF THE SUBSTRATES AND PROVIDED WITH A SUBSTRATE AREA HOLDER WHICH CAN PRESS THE AREA OF THE SUBSTRATES SUPPORTED BY THE GUIDE RAILS AND A COMPONENT MOUNTING AREA HOLDER WHICH PRESSES AGAINST A PREDETERMINED RANGE OF THE COMPONENT MOUNTING AREA WHERE THE COMPONENTS ARE TO BE MOUNTED. BY MOVEMENT OF THE SUBSTRATE HOLDER IN THE DIRECTION PRESSING AGAINST A SUBSTRATE, THE SUBSTRATE IS MOVED ALONG WITH THE GUIDE RAILS IN THE DIRECTION OF THE SUBSTRATE SUPPORT, THE SUBSTRATE IS PRESSED BETWEEN THE SUBSTRATE HOLDER AND THE SUBSTRATE SUPPORT, AND DEFORMATION OF THE COMPONENT MOUNTING AREA OF THE SUBSTRATE IS CORRECTED.
