Abstract
FORTIFIED HYDROCARBON, PREFERABLY LPG GAS, IS FORTIFIED WITH METHYL ETHYL KETONE (MEK) ENHANCED WITH TERTIARY BUTYL ALCOHOL (TBA) OR METHYL TERT-BUTYL ETHER (MTBE) IN AN AMOUNT 0.5TO 20OF THE BASE HYDROCARBON BY WEIGHT FOR USE AS TORCH GAS, FOR HEATING OR FOR MOTOR FUEL. CUTTING OF FERROUS METAL CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY MIXING THE FORTIFIED TORCH GAS WITH OXYGEN HAVING A PURITY AS LOW AS 90, AND SUCH CUTTING CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED EVEN UNDER WATER.
