THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A TERMINAL BLOCK FOR HIGH TRANSMISSION RATES IN THE TELECOMMUNICATION AND DATA TECHNIQUE, COMPRISING A PLASTIC BODY WITH CHAMBERS DISPOSED IN AT LEAST ONE ROW FOR INSULATION DISPLACEMENT CONTACT ELEMENTS AND SLOTS FOR SHIELD PLATES DISPOSED IN THE TRANSVERSE WALLS BETWEEN SAID CHAMBERS AND EXTENDING WITH PARALLEL AXES THERETO. IN ORDER TO KEEP THE TECHNICAL AND ECONOMICAL EXPENSE FOR SHIELD PLATES (16) LOW, SHIELD PLATES (16) OF AT LEAST ONE CHAMBER (2) ARE CONNECTED BY NARROW WEBS (17, 18, 19) INSERTED IN GROOVES (12, 13, 14) IN THE BOTTOM OF PLASTIC BODY (1).
