Abstract
PRODUCTION OF LOWER OLEFINS WITH 2-3C ATOMS COMPRISES REACTING A METHANOL AND/OR DIMETHYLETHER VAPOUR AND A REACTION MIXTURE CONTAINING WATER VAPOUR IN A FIRST REACTOR (8) ON A FIRST FORM SELECTIVE CATALYST AT 280-5700 C AND 0.1-1 BAR; WITHDRAWING A PRODUCT MIXTURE CONTAINING 2-4C OLEFIN AND C5+ HYDROCARBON FROM THE FIRST REACTOR (8); AND COOLING. THE COOLED FIRST PRODUCT MIXTURE IS FED THROUGH A SEPARATOR (24) AND A SECOND PRODUCT MIXTURE CONTAINING ETHYLENE AND PROPYLENE IS WITHDRAWN. A C5+ STREAM IS OBTAINED, WHICH IS VAPORISED AND MIXED WITH WATER VAPOUR. A RATIO OF H2O:HYDROCARBONS OF 0.5-3:1 IS USED. THE MIXTURE CONTAINING WATER VAPOUR IS FED AT 380-7000 C TO A SECOND REACTOR (32) CONTAINING A SECOND FORM SELECTIVE CATALYST. A THIRD PRODUCT MIXTURE IS WITHDRAWN FROM THE SECOND REACTOR (32) WHICH CONTAINS 50OLEFINIC COMPONENTS. THIS PRODUCT MIXTURE IS COOLED AND FED TO A SEPARATOR (24).(FIG.1)
