Abstract
IT IS AN OBJECT OF THE PRESENT INVENTION TO PROVIDE AN OPTICAL ELEMENT MOLDING DIE WHICH DOES NOT FUSE WITH GLASS AND HAS HIGH HARDNESS, HIGH SURFACE SMOOTHNESS, AND HIGH DIE DURABILITY. TO ACHIEVE THIS OBJECT, THE OPTICAL ELEMENT MOLDING DIE OF THE INVENTION IS AN OPTICAL ELEMENT MOLDING DIE FOR MANUFACTURING A GLASS OPTICAL ELEMENT BY PRESS MOLDING, WHEREIN A THIN FILM OF TAN CONTAINING LITHIUM ELEMENT OR A LITHIUM COMPOUND IS FORMED AS A RELEASE LAYER ON AT LEAST MOLDING SURFACE.
