Abstract

DISCLOSED HEREIN IS A TELEVISION TUNER. THE TELEVISION TUNER INCLUDES TUNING CIRCUITS (1, 4) HAVING FIRST VARACTOR DIODES (1B, 4B) AND FOR RESPECTIVELY VARYING TUNED FREQUENCIES ACCORDING TO CHANGES IN THE CAPACITANCES OF THE FIRST VARACTOR DIODES TO THEREBY SELECT A RECEIVED SIGNAL, AND A LOCAL OSCILLATOR (6) HAVING A SECOND VARACTOR DIODE (6B) AND FOR VARYING A LOCAL OSCILLATION FREQUENCY ACCORDING TO A CHANGE IN THE CAPACITANCE OF THE SECOND VARACTOR DIODE. VOLTAGES APPLIED ACROSS THE FIRST VARACTOR DIODES (1B, 4B) RESPECTIVELY ARE SET SMALLER THAN A VOLTAGE APPLIED ACROSS THE SECOND VARACTOR DIODE (6B).(FIG 1)
