AN ADAPTOR HAS A HOUSING 1, A SET OF INPUT TERMINALS 16, SETS OF OUTPUT TERMINALS 29, 31, 34 AND LINK BARS 21 CONNECTING THE INPUT TERMINALS IN PARALLEL TO CORRESPONDING OUTPUT TERMINALS, THE LINK BARS BEING MOUNTED ON AN INSULATING SUPPORT 18, THE SUPPORT 18 AND THE LINK BARS 21 BEING A UNIT WHICH IS A PUSH FIT INTO THE ADAPTOR HOUSING 1. THE ADAPTOR MAY BE FORMED AS A THREE-WAY BRANCHING ADAPTOR WITH THE INPUT TERMINALS BEING FORMED AS PINS (NOT SHOWN) PROJECTING FROM A REARWARDLY PROJECTING CENTRAL PORTION OF THE HOUSING SO AS TO PROVIDE A GAP BETWEEN THE REMAINDER OF THE HOUSING AND A MAINS OUTLET SOCKET INTO WHICH THE ADAPTOR IS INSERTED.
