Abstract

A CROSS-FLOW FAN USED IN AIR CONDITIONERS FOR COOLING AND HEATING INDOOR SPACES.A STEP IS PROVIDED AT A SHAFT CENTER SIDE ON A CROSS SECTION PERPENDICULAR TO A ROTATION SHAFT OF A BLADE OF THE CROSS-FLOW FAN. A MAXIMUM THICKNESS POSITION IS ALSO PROVIDED ON THE BLADE AT 2% TO 35% FROM ITS LEADING EDGE, AND THE THICKNESS REDUCES FROM THE MAXIMUM THICKNESS POSITION OUTWARD TO AN TRAILING EDGE. THIS CONFIGURATION PREVENTS FAN NOISE AND IMPROVES FLOW RATE PERFORMANCE. IN ADDITION, THE BLADE MAY BE RELIABLY MOLDED IN THE PRODUCTION OF CROSS-FLOW FANS, LEADING TO IMPROVED PRODUCTIVITY.(FIG 1)
