Abstract
A PLANT IS TRANSFORMED WITH TWO GENES THE PROMOTERS OF WHICH ACT CONJOINTLY SUCH THAT IN RESPONSE TO A STIMULUS BEING APPLIED TO THE PLANT, SUCH AS THAT CONSTITUTED BY A PATHOGENIC ATTACK, THE NECROTIC ACTION ON A SPECIFIC CELL OF THE PLANT OF THE MOLECULE CODED FOR BY THE FIRST GENE IS NOT INHIBITED BY THE MOLECULE CODED FOR BY THE SECOND GENE, WHEREAS IN OTHER CELLS THE NECROTIC ACTION OF THE FIRST MENTIONED MOLECULE IS INHIBITED BY THE SECOND MENTIONED MOLECULE.
