THE INVENTION RELATES TO HIGH-SOLIDS SIO2 DISPERSIONS,A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THEM AND A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POROUS,AMORPHOUS SHAPED SIO2 BODIES HAVING AN EXTREMELY HIGH SOLIDS CONTENT FROM THE DISPERSION.THE DISPERSION OF THE INVENTION IS A HOMOGENEOUS, VERY READILY POURABLE DISPERSION OF AMORPHOUS SIO2 PARTICLES IN A DISPERSION MEDIUM,WHICH DISPERSION IS CHARACTERIZED IN THAT IT HAS A SOLIDS CONTENT OF AT LEAST 80BY WEIGHT OF AMORPHOUS SIO2 PARTICLES AND THE AMORPHOUS SIO2 PARTICLES HAVE A BIMODAL PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION.
