Abstract
DURING CATALYTIC DEW AXING OF PARAFFINIC HYDROCARBONS, THE EXOTHERMIC CATALYTIC DEW AXING REACTION IS MODERATED BY SEPARATING AND COOLING A HEAVY DEWAXATE HAVING AN INITIAL BOILING POINT OF AT LEAST 426.70OC+(800OF+), AND RECYCLING IT BACK INTO THE DEWAXING ZONE AS QUENCH LIQUID. THE HEAVY DEWAXATE REACTS VERY LITTLE, IF AT ALL, WITH THE HYDROGEN IN THE DEWAXING ZONE. THIS HAS BEEN FOUND TO BE PARTICULARLY USEFUL FOR DEW AXING HYDROISOMERIZED, PARAFFINIC FISCHER-TROPSCH SYNTHESIZED, HYDROCARBONS.FIG. 1
