Abstract

DISCLOSED IS AN APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING GASOLINE FROM WASTE PLASTIC, WHICH DECOMPOSES THE WASTE PLASTIC USING A CATALYST HAVING A SUBSTANTIALLY SPHERICAL SHAPE AND IS USEFUL FOR A LARGE-SCALE PLANT. THE APPARATUS INCLUDES A REACTION PIPE (10) FOR RECEIVING MOLTEN WASTE PLASTICS AND CATALYST AND MIXING THE MOLTEN WASTE PLASTICS WITH THE CATALYST TO PROVIDE A MIXTURE OF THE MOLTEN WASTE PLASTICS AND THE CATALYST PRIMARILY DECOMPOSING THE MOLTEN WASTE PLASTICS, AND A REACTOR (20) FOR SECONDARILY DECOMPOSING THE MOLTEN WASTE PLASTICS IN THE MIXTURE. THE APPARATUS ALSO INCLUDES A SEPARATING UNIT (50) FOR SEPARATING PARTICLES OF THE CATALYST HAVING A PREDETERMINED DIAMETER OR LARGER FROM THE MIXTURE DISCHARGED FROM THE RECTOR (20), AND A CATALYST REGENERATOR (60) REGENERATING THE CATALYST HAVING A PREDETERMINED DIAMETER OR LARGER FED FROM THE SEPARATING UNIT AT RELATIVELY HIGH TEMPERATURES AND TO RETURN THE REGENERATED PARTICLES OF CATALYST INTO THE REACTION PIPE (10). AT THIS TIME, THE REACTOR (20) IS PROVIDED WITH A MOVING BED (22) FOR MOVING THE MIXTURE OF THE MOLTEN WASTE PLASTICS AND THE CATALYST AND HEATERS FOR HEATING THE MIXTURE MOVING BY THE MOVING BED (22). ADDITIONALLY, THE CATALYST REGENERATOR (60) IS PROVIDED WITH A PLURALITY OF ROTARY CHAMBERS (62).
