ACCORDING TO THE METHOD, DATA IS RECORDED AND/OR REPRODUCED IN THE INFORMATION STORAGE MEDIUM WHICH INCLUDES A LEAD-IN AREA (10), A USER DATA AREA (20), AND A LEAD-OUT AREA (30). IN THE METHOD, FIRST, A STANDARD VERSION NUMBER IS RECORDED IN THE REPRODUCTION-ONLY AREA OF AT LEAST ONE OF THE LEAD-IN AND LEAD-OUT AREAS (10, 30).
