Abstract

THE PRESENT INVENTION PROVIDES AN IMPROVED FOOT REST (10) HAVING A MEANS SLOPING UPWARDS AND MOVABLE TO EXERCISE CALF MUSCLES OF AT LEAST ONE FOOT A USER. THE FOOT REST (10) HAS A BOTTOM PLANAR SURFACE (11) AND A TOP SLOPING SURFACE (12) BEING SPACED FROM AND PARALLEL TO THE OTHER. THE FOOT REST (10) HAS A TOP SLOPING SURFACE (12) DISPOSED WITH A RESILIENT MEANS (16) ON ITS UNDERSIDE, ON WHICH EITHER FOOT OR BOTH FEET OF A USER CAN REST SIMULTANEOUSLY. PRESSURE APPLIED BY EITHER FOOT OR BOTH FEET DEPRESSES THE TOP SLOPING SURFACE (12) OVER AN ARCH THAT IS COMFORTABLE AND SUBSEQUENT RELEASE OF THE PRESSURE WILL RETURN THE TOP SLOPING SURFACE (12) TO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION. THIS REPETITIVE MOVEMENT ACTION OF TOP SLOPING SURFACE (12) PROVIDES OSCILLATORY MOVEMENT OF THE USER'S FOOT OR FEET, SUCH ACTION EXERCISING CALF MUSCLES THAT WILL PROMOTE BLOOD CIRCULATION IN THE LOWER LIMBS.
