A PIPE COUPLING SYSTEM FOR POLYMERIC PIPES COMPRISING A POLYMERIC HOLLOW COUPLING BODY (1), A POLYMERIC NUT (2) AND A DEFORMABLE POLYMERIC RING MEMBER (3), WHEREIN A WATER- TIGHT JOINT IS ESTABLISHED BETWEEN THE HOLLOW COUPLING BODY AND THE POLYMERIC PIPE BY THE COMBINED ACTIONS OF THE BARBS (15) ON THE EXTERNAL SURFACE OF THE SECOND TUBULAR PORTION (13) OF THE HOLLOW COUPLING BODY ENGAGING THE INNER SURFACE (42) OF A POLYMERIC PIPE (4) ABUTTING THE ABUTMENT SURFACE (16) OF THE HOLLOW COUPLING BODY, AND THE BARBS (34) ON THE INTERNAL SURFACE OF THE DEFORMABLE POLYMERIC RING MEMBER (3) ENGAGING THE OUTER SURFACE (41) OF A POLYMERIC PIPE, AS THE POLYMERIC NUT (2) THREADABLY ENGAGES THE THREAD (14) ON THE EXTERNAL SURFACE OF THE FIRST TUBULAR PORTION (12) AND IS TIGHTENED.
