Abstract

THERE IS PROVIDED A PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF PARTICLES CONTAINING A SALT OF (ALPHA)-SULFOFATTY ACID ALKYL ESTER. THE PROCESS INCLUDES A STEP OF MIXING TOGETHER FOR NEUTRALIZATION OF AN (ALPHA)-SULFOFATTY ACID ALKYL ESTER AND AN ALKALINE POWDER, AND A STEP OF AGING THE MIXED AND NEUTRALIZED POWDER IN AN APPARATUS EQUIPPED WITH AN AIR FLOW GENERATING UNIT, WHILE KEEPING IT IN A FLUIDIZED STATE. THIS PROCESS IS SIMPLE AND THE RESULTING PRODUCT RETAINS GOOD POWDER PROPERTIES (FLUIDITY AND WEAK TENDENCY TOWARD CAKING) DURING STORAGE.
