A HYDROGEL IS PRODUCED BY FORMING A SEMI-GEL FROM THE COMPOSITION AND EXPOSING IT TO ELECTRON BEAM OR GAMMA RADIATION TO A TOTAL ABSORBED DOSE WITHIN THE RANGE OF FROM 5 TO 50 KGY.
