WHERE THE CELLS AND/OR SUITABLE PROGENITOR CELLS THEREOF ARE CHONDROCYTES, EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS AND/OR BONE MARROW STROMAL CELLS, THE METHODS OF THE INVENTION ARE SUITABLE FOR TREATING, FOR EXAMPLE, ARTICULAR CARTILAGE DEGENERATION ASSOCIATED WITH PRIMARY OSTEOARTHRITIS.
