Abstract
THE PRESENT INVENTION DISCLOSED AN APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR MEASURING WATER INFILTRATION RATE IN THE SOIL. THE APPARATUS COMPRISES A CYLINDRICAL BODY (11) HAVING AN AIR CHAMBER (14) WITH AN INLET NOZZLE (16) ADAPTED AS AIR PASSAGE INTO THE AIR CHAMBER (14) FROM AIR SUPPLYING MEANS (17) AND AN OUTLET NOZZLE (19) ADAPTED AS AIR PASSAGE FROM THE AIR CHAMBER (14) INTO THE GROUND. THE APPARATUS INCLUDES ALSO MEANS FOR CONTROLLING AIR FLOW FROM THE AIR CHAMBER (14) INTO THE GROUND AND AN AIR PRESSURE INDICATOR (21) ADAPTED FOR MEASURING AIR PRESSURE RATE WHERE THE WATER INFILTRATION RATE IS DETERMINED IN RELATION TO THE AIR PRESSURE RATE. THE SYSTEM COMPRISES THE APPARATUS ABOVE WHERE THE AIR SUPPLYING MEANS (17) IS CONNECTED TO INLET NOZZLE (16).
