THE PROCESS IS CHARACTERIZED BY BRINGING, IN THE PRESENCE OF HYDROGEN, A PARAFFINIC HYDROCARBON INTO CONTACT WITH A CATALYST WHICH COMPRISES A SUPPORT COMPRISING A CRYSTALLINE ALUMINOSILICATE AND AN AMORPHOUS SOLID ACID AND, DEPOSITED ON THE SUPPORT, AT LEAST ONE METAL SELECTED AMONG THE METALS IN GROUP VIII OF THE PERIODIC TABLE AND WHICH CONTAINS AT LEAST ONE ELEMENT SELECTED BETWEEN PHOSPHORUS AND BORON.
