THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A SYSTEM (100) AND A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ACCESS PRIORITY TO NETWORK RESOURCES. SPECIFICALLY, THE SYSTEM (100) AND THE METHOD ARE FOR DEPLOYING A SOURCE- SPECIFIC CONTROL ON SAID ACCESS PRIORITY.THE SYSTEM (100) COMPRISES AT LEAST ONE INCOMING INTERFACE (10), AT LEAST ONE INSPECTION COMPONENT (20), AT LEAST ONE FIRST QUEUING COMPONENT (30), AT LEAST ONE MULTIPLEXING COMPONENT (40), AT LEAST ONE SECOND QUEUING COMPONENT (50), AT LEAST ONE SCHEDULER COMPONENT (60), AND AT LEAST ONE OUTGOING INTERFACE (70). THE METHOD COMPRISES THE STEPS OF IDENTIFYING, MARKING, AND SORTING THE PACKETS (80) TO CLASSIFY THE PACKETS (80) BASED ON THE SOURCE OF THE PACKET (80), AND TRAFFIC TYPES OF THE PACKETS (80), AND ARRANGING THE SORTED PACKETS (80) INTO A PLURALITY OF FIRST QUEUES (90 & 110) BY USING THE INSPECTION COMPONENT (20); TRANSFERRING THE PACKETS (80) TO A PLURALITY OF SECOND QUEUES (120) BASED ON WEIGHTED ACCESS VALUES BY USING THE MULTIPLYING COMPONENT (40); TRANSFERRING THE PACKETS (80) TO AT LEAST ONE OUTGOING INTERFACE (70) BASED ON THE WEIGHTED ACCESS VALUES BY THE SCHEDULING COMPONENT (60); AND FORWARDING THE PACKETS (80) TO A PLURALITY OF PACKET RECEIVING COMPONENTS BY USING THE OUTGOING INTERFACE (70).
