Abstract

A method for manufacturing flakes of a surfactant-containing material including: supplying a heated surfactant-containing material to an outer surface of a forward route section (14a) of a conveyor belt (14) which extends from a first pulley (11) towards a second pulley (12) while the circular conveyor belt (14), which is disposed around the first pulley (11) and the second pulley (12), is run circularly; supplying cooling water to an inner surface of the forward route section (14a) of the conveyor belt (14) to cool the surfactant-containing material: and making the temperature of cooling water before use higher than a temperature, which is 2 degrees Celsius lower than the dew point around the conveyor belt (14), and making the temperature of cooling water after use higher than the dew point around the conveyor belt (14).
