Abstract
[PROBLEMS] TO PROVIDE A METHOD OF PRODUCING A BIOFUEL CONTAINING NO FREE ALKALI, WHICH IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING, AT A HIGH CONVERSION RATIO, AN ESTER USEFUL AS A BIOFUEL FROM THE FAT AND OIL BY THE REACTION IN A VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME EVEN BY USING AN ENZYME IN A SMALL AMOUNT. [MEANS FOR SOLUTION] A METHOD OF PRODUCING A BIOFUEL BY REACTING A WASTE CLAY DISPERSED IN AN ORGANIC SOLVENT WITH A LOWER MONOHYDRIC ALCOHOL IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ENZYME TO OBTAIN AN ESTER WHICH IS THE BIOFUEL, WHEREIN THE REACTION IS CONDUCTED IN THE PRESENCE OF ZEOLITE, SODIUM CARBONATE OR ALUMINA.
