Abstract

Provided is ferritic stainless steel excellent in terms of the corrosion resistance of a weld zone. Ferritic stainless steel having a chemical composition containing, by mass%, C: 0.001% or more and 0.025% or less, Si: 0.05% or more and 0.30% or less, Mn: 0.35% or more and 2.0% or less, P: 0.05% or less, S: 0.01% or less, Al: 0.05% or more and 0.80% or less, N: 0.001% or more and 0.025% or less, Cr: 16.0% or more and 20.0% or less, Ti: 0.12% or more and 0.50% or less, Nb: 0.002% or more and 0.050% or less, Cu: 0.30% or more and 0.80% or less, Ni: 0.05% or more and less than 0.50%, V:0.01% or more and 0.50% or less, and the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, in which relational expression (1) below is satisfied: 0.50 < 25 x C + 18 x N + Ni + 0.11 x Mn + 0.46 x Cu (1), where, atomic symbols in the relational expression respectively represent the contents (mass%) of the corresponding elements.
