THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A BIOMASS CONTAINING ASTAXANTHIN. THE PRESENT PROCESS PROVIDES SOURCES OF ASTAXANTHIN AND PROTEIN FOR VARIOUS APPLICATIONS SUCH AS HUMAN FOODS, AQUACULTURE, COSMETIC AND PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES. THE PRESENT INVENTION PROVIDES THE PRODUCTION OF ASTAXANTHIN VIA BIOLOGICAL MEANS INVOLVING STEPS LIKE FERMENTATION.
