THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A THREE ROLL MILL COMPRISING A FEED ROLL (1), A CENTER ROLL (2) AND A DISCHARGE ROLL (3) ARRANGED TO ROTATE AROUND THEIR RESPECTIVE LONGITUDINAL AXES, AND A DISCHARGE BLADE (4) ARRANGED SUBSTANTIALLY PARALLEL TO THE LONGITUDINAL AXIS OF THE DISCHARGE ROLL (3) FOR SCRAPING OFF FINISHED PRODUCT FROM THE DISCHARGE ROLL (3), CHARACTERIZED IN THAT THE DISCHARGE BLADE (4) COMPRISES A WEAR RESISTANT DEPOSIT COVERING AT LEAST A WORKING EDGE (11) THEREOF ADAPTED FOR CONTACT WITH THE DISCHARGE ROLL (3), TO A METHOD OF MIXING, REFINING, DISPERSING AND/OR HOMOGENIZING A MATERIAL IN SUCH A THREE ROLL MILL, AND TO A MATERIAL OBTAINABLE BY SUCH A METHOD. THE INVENTION FURTHER RELATES TO A DISCHARGE BLADE (4) COMPRISING A WEAR RESISTANT DEPOSIT FOR USE IN A THREE ROLL MILL.
