Abstract

CONNECTOR Provided is a connector (10) that includes a connector housing (20) for accommodating female terminals, and a retainer (40) that has an elastically deformable lock piece (46) and is inserted into a retainer mounting hole (23) of the connector housing (20), the retainer (40) being movable between a provisional latching position at which the retainer (40) retreats from an entry pathway for the female terminals, and a main latching position at which the retainer (40) enters the entry pathway for the female terminals. The lock piece (46) includes a main latching claw (48) that holds the retainer (40) at the main latching position by being latched on to a main latching projection (27) from the bottom, and a provisional latching claw (47) that holds the retainer (40) at the provisional latching position by being latched on to a provisional latching projection (28) from the bottom, and an amount of displacement of the provisional latching claw (47) caused by elastic deformation of the lock piece (46) is smaller than an amount of displacement of the main latching claw (48).
