Abstract

The present invention relates to a luminaire assembly (100), characterized by a mounting frame (110) having a bar (112) coupled thereto; a lighting unit (120) having a flange (121), wherein the flange (121) rests upon an upper surface of the mounting frame (110); a hinge extension (131) connected to a side of the lighting unit (120) opposite to that of the flange (121), and engaging with the bar (112) of the mounting frame (110); wherein a space is provided between the bar (112) and an inner surface of the hinge extension (131) to enable the lighting unit (120) to slide parallel to the mounting frame (110), thereby displacing the flange (121) from the mounting frame (110) and allowing the lighting unit (120) to swing away from the mounting frame (110).
